University Defence Research Collaboration
The University Defence Research Collaboration (UDRC) is delivered in partnership between DTSL, Heriot-Watt University, and the universities of Loughborough, Surrey, Strathclyde and Cardiff.
UDRC aims to develop research in signal processing with application to the defence industry and share knowledge, promote communications, guidance and training.
The formation of consortia will bring together researchers from across the different aspects of signal processing to address the research challenges of operating in a networked battlespace, and forms part of a wider collaborative centre of excellence for signal processing that embraces academia, Research and Technology Organisations, defence manufacturing industries and the Defence Technology Centres.
These collaborations aim to support a cutting edge signal and data processing capability in the UK, and lead to potentially greater research impact.
Annual Conference
This event will be 4th conference of the Sensor Signal Processing for Defence (SSPD) and provides a chance to present latest scientific findings in signal processing for defence. The purpose is to bring together leading researchers from the signal processing community to exchange experiences and share new ideas in the field. The emphasis of the Conference is given to the following areas that play a substantial role in improving the performance of defence systems. Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Array Signal Processing
- Image Processing
- Radar, Sonar and Acoustic Signal Processing
- Multimodal Signal Processing
- Multi-target tracking
- Data Fusion
- Signal acquisition and sensor management
- Source separation
- Anomaly detection
- Distributed Signal Processing
- Low Size Weight and Power Solutions
- Target detection and identification
- Electro-optic sensing
Please visit the conference website for further information, including information on the Call for Papers, How to Register, and Programme Details.
