About the Call
The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) and the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan (MoST) have issued a funding call for projects in the following subject areas:
- Sensors and imaging and their applications (including medical areas)
- Neuroscience
The RSE/MoST Joint Project scheme is designed to facilitate international collaboration between researchers based in Scotland and Taiwan. A grant is provided to researchers to cover travel, subsistence and research expenses.
The collaboration should be based on a single project, with two teams or individuals based in Scotland and Taiwan. A relationship must have already been established between the Scotland-based and Taiwan-based researchers. The collaboration should involve bilateral exchanges between Scotland and Taiwan (applications will only be considered for bilateral, not multi-lateral, projects).
The Joint Project scheme runs for two years during which the RSE grant provides a maximum of £6K per year. This funding is to be used for travel and subsistence, with the option of using up to £1K on research expenses. MoST provides a maximum of NT 300,000 per year to the Taiwan-based researcher.
