Engage with Strathclyde is an annual event, taking place this year from 3-6 May 2016, and offering over 50 events designed to showcase the strengths and research capabilities across the university.
One event sensor system companies – and companies interested in using sensor systems in their organisations – is ‘Sensor Technologies for Automation’. This event on 5 May doubles as the launch of the University’s new Institute for Sensors, Signals and Communications (InstSSC) which encompasses a broad range of sensor and associated technologies including lasers and optics, microelectronics, signal processing, imaging, communications, ultrasonics, robotics and non-destructive evaluation.
About the Event
This event will explore the capabilities of the Institute and explore opportunities for collaboration. The event includes keynotes from Harbro and National Nuclear Laboratory as well as an overview of the funding mechanisms and an opportunity to tour the facilities.

This event will benefit key staff in businesses and organisations seeking innovative solutions to improve their products or processes through wider application of sensing and the associated technologies such as signal and image processing and communications.
