About Wideblue

Wideblue is a full-service, multi-disciplinary product design and product development consultancy.  Our design studios and development labs are located in the West of Scotland Science Park in Glasgow. An in-house manufacturing start-up facility helps clients to bridge the gap between prototype development and full-scale manufacture. Many of the products in our portfolio are the first of their kind, based on novel technology or IP. Our strength is developing integrated systems which are commercially viable products. Wideblue’s team of product, mechanical, electronic and software engineers, physicists and optical designers all have many years’ experience designing products through to successful manufacture and commercialisation. We have the expertise to work with new technologies and develop them through the design, development, verification and validation processes.

At the Summit

On the day, Wideblue will demonstrate two new products

1:  Optical monitoring of wind turbine blades – a novel method of monitoring the real-time behaviour of wind turbine blades to enable the prediction of early failure or deterioration in performance.

2:  Hyperspectral crop imaging – a novel use of low cost CMOS sensors together with linear variable filters to deliver a cost-effective solution to maximise crop yields for farmers.
