Intelligent Imaging Programme

Imaging is ubiquitous in several sectors including creative media, transport, agriculture, energy, space and automation among many others. The UK has been at the forefront of numerous advances in image capture, processing and display and therefore has both academic and commercial expertise from devices to the extraction of useful information from images.

The 9th Intelligent Imaging Programme brings imaging end-user communities, imaging technology providers, novel imaging technology researchers, innovation funders and other relevant stakeholders together to share their knowledge on market challenges, state-of-the-art commercial technologies, emerging imaging technology research, and innovation funding opportunities. The aim of the day is to network and to facilitate partnership and collaboration development, and to promote and speed up business innovation development in the imaging technology sector in the UK.

About the Event

Organised by the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) with support from CENSIS, the Intelligent Imaging Programme provides an opportunity to network and hear presentations from a range of leading companies and academics in the imaging space.

The day includes invited experts speakers from industry and research communities who will be sharing their expert views in four key areas:

  1. Challenges and need for imaging technologies
  2. State of the art imaging technologies
  3. Business innovation landscape and funding opportunities
  4. Emerging imaging technologies

An eclectic line of speakers includes Camlin Photonics, Observant Innovations, University College London (Prof Sandro Olivo), University of St Andrews (Dr Duncan Robertson), Sliced Bread Animation and Proteus, an EPSRC funded UK-wide research group using advanced imaging techniques to investigate lung disease. Dr Barry Connor of Thales UK will also be there to present the project completed in partnership with CENSIS and the University of the West of Scotland around assisted targeted recognition, along with new ideas around deep learning.

Exhibition Space

There are a limited number of exhibition spaces for interested companies to showcase their imaging technologies/ expertise.
