CENSIS is pleased to partner with SPIE as a co-operating organisation to promote and exhibit at the SPIE Remote Sensing and Security+Defence conferences in September 2020.

SPIE is the society for optics and photonics, a not-for-profit society advancing emerging technologies through interdisciplinary information exchange, continuing education, publications, and professional growth.

The conferences

Located together in order to enhance opportunities to identify new partners for collaboration from related fields of activity, the two conferences will bring hundreds of delegates from across the world for four days in September.

Now in it’s 27th year, Remote Sensing has become the largest annual international meeting on this subject in Europe. The event gives delegates access to the most recent satellite-based imaging systems and the data generated by them.

The 17th SPIE Security + Defence conference is an event for optical science technologies for advanced security and defence systems, covering all aspects of this evolving field of optronics and photonics.

Remote Sensing

With delegates from more than 25 countries, the conference provides an opportunity to learn about trends, recent developments and achievements in remote sensing. There are nine tracks:

Agriculture, ecosystems, and hydrology
Ocean, sea ice, coastal waters, and large water regions
Sensors, systems, and next-generation satellites
Clouds and the atmosphere
Environmental effects on light propagation and adaptive systems
Microwave remote sensing: data processing and applications
Image and signal processing for remote sensing
Environmental remote sensing/GIS applications
Applications in urban environments

Security + Defence

This symposium offer opportunities to network with colleagues from a variety of disciplines in academia, industry, and government all over the world, and covers all aspects of this evolving field of optronics and photonics. Tracks include:

Emerging security and defence requirements
Cyber defence
Big data in security and defence
Clouds and the atmosphere
AI and machine learning
Micro- and nanosystems
Quantum information science and technology
Emerging security and defence requirements
Sensors (including their design, fabrication and exploitation)
