Put the kettle on and join CENSIS for a catch up over a virtual coffee and connect with other companies, researchers and stakeholders working in the same space.

Led by CENSIS Business Development Manager Cade Wells, this week’s coffee break will look at the use of IoT to manage and navigate the ‘new normal’ working environments in which we find ourselves.

The format

The coffee break takes place online using Zoom. There’s no charge and participants can join using audio or video. Numbers are capped at a level that allows everyone to take part on the day. If you sign up, we strongly encourage you to join the conversation either to give us your thoughts, discuss examples of what’s happening in the sector, or ask questions.

The subject

It is clear that COVID-19 is likely to remain a challenge to the way to live and work for some time to come, and organisations will have to introduce new ways to organise workplaces to ensure the safety of employees and minimise infection risks. Carefully considered processes and procedures will play a part in addressing a number of COVID-19 challenges such as maintaining physical distancing, identifying asymptomatic carriers or ensuring PPE compliance.

This coffee chat will look at safe working practices during and after the COVID-19 lockdown in sprin 2020, use of technology to manage unpredictable events in work environments and minimise risks.

As always, discussions are led by delegates, but might include:

  • Challenges in optimising workplace safety
  • Different types of sensing, imaging and IoT technologies available
  • How to prepare and plan to implement new tech solutions

Register

Please register via Eventbrite. The Zoom link will be emailed to participants a few days before the call takes place.

Our virtual coffees are very popular and we often have a waiting list, so if you sign up but can’t make it on the day, please let us know so we can release your place to someone else.
