A summary report presenting the findings of a consultation on the Scottish Government’s draft plan ‘Making Scotland’s Future: a Recovery Plan for Manufacturing’, has been published.
Launched in December 2020, the draft plan was developed through a partnership of industry, academics, the Scottish Government and Scotland’s enterprise and skills agencies and focused on four priority areas: collaboration and networks, supply chains and competitiveness, adaptation and transformation, and skills and workforce.
The publication of an updated Recovery Plan is now scheduled for May 2021 following the Scottish Parliamentary Elections.
The annex of the summary report signposts readers to a range of public sector funded support initiatives and organisations available to help manufacturers – including CENSIS and other Innovation Centres.
