View current eventsRegister and join the University of Glasgow and CENSIS for a knowledge exchange event focused on the future of healthcare-focused biosensing and bioimaging in Scotland.
SYMBIOSIS is a unique opportunity for professionals, clinicians and researchers from industry, academia and the public sector to learn about new technologies, discuss open questions within the field, and access opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.
The event offers the chance learn about progress within core technological domains of biosensing and bioimaging including:
- Point-of-care devices
- Artificial intelligence
- Remote sensing
- Personalised medicine
Delegates will also discuss the current state and future of biosensing and bioimaging technology at round-table discussions on:
- Potential impact of emergent technologies on the healthcare sector
- Unsolved technical challenges which impede progress
- Barriers to translation of research to impact, and the role cross-sector collaboration can play in overcoming them.
An afternoon networking and exhibition session will offer a platform to showcase new products and research, with breakout rooms available for one-to-one discussions.
Collaboration is at the heart of translating research to impact. Our goal is to open a dialogue between industry, academia, and frontline clinicians in the biosensing and bioimaging space, and to identify key challenges and opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.
Representatives from CENSIS and the University of Glasgow’s Impact Acceleration Account team will present on resources available to enable effective cross-sector partnerships.
