Find out about the Milk Round Technology Accelerator
Are you a small dairy processor, or a service provider already in, or interested in the dairy supply chain?
Are you curious about how digital technology can improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance your operations or service offerings—but unsure where to start?
The Digital Dairy Chain’s Milk Round Technology Accelerator is here to help small dairy businesses in Southwest Scotland and Cumbria explore affordable, easy-to-use IoT (Internet of Things) technologies that can make a real difference to your bottom line.
If you are interested in finding out more, join our Virtual Coffee. This will be a relaxed online chat where businesses who are curious about what we’re doing join our video call. A host introduces everyone and gets the conversation going.
You’ll hear how this IoT exploratory approach is working with the award-winning Appleby Creamery and will be able to ask questions.
What’s the opportunity?
Through the Milk Round Tech Accelerator, we’re looking for:
- 4-5 small dairy processors or businesses in the supply chain who are new to IoT and want to trial smart monitoring solutions in their operations.
- Regional service businesses (such as electricians, refrigeration engineers, equipment providers and installers, IT providers etc) interested in developing new skills and service offerings in secure IoT system installation and data management.
This initiative will pair service providers with challenge holders and our Milk Round IoT specialists will mentor partners through the installation of an IoT enabled monitoring system tailored to answer critical business questions of the host business—whether it’s monitoring dairy product storage conditions, hot water usage or ways to extend the life of aging equipment
How the coffee chats work
There is no fixed agenda for any of our virtual coffees. We aim for a forum that is open, friendly and encourages conversation.
The direction of the discussion always follows whatever people on the call want to talk about, and the conversations are never recorded. Leading the discussion will be Rachael Wakefield, Business Development Director at CENSIS.
Registration
The discussion takes place online using Teams. To register, please email rachael.wakefield@censis.tech. After you register, you’ll receive a confirmation that will include the link to join the discussion. You’ll also received a reminder two days before, and just before the event starts.
