View current eventsJoin CENSIS for a catch up over a virtual coffee and connect with companies, researchers and stakeholders with an interest in the same space.
There is no fixed agenda for any of our virtual coffees, and we aim for forum that is open, friendly and encourages conversation. The direction of the discussion always follows whatever people on the call want to talk about, and the conversations are never recorded.
Led by CENSIS Business Development Manager Natalia Lukaszewicz, this coffee break revisits a subject we have discussed before – smart cities – but it will look at it from a new angle. The topic of smart cities will serve as a background to talk about implications of technology adoption on individuals about ethics in technology adoption, and how to ensure that social values are guarded during technology development and implementation.
We are pleased to be joined for this discussion by Dr Alina Wernick from the University of Helsinki.
Potential topics for discussion might include:
- how best a smart city can serve its citizens
- smart city applications in healthcare, education, energy, transport, and communications
- different dimensions of smart cities (e.g., political, social, economic)
- urban digitalisation
- human-centric approach in technology adoption
