Meet the team from CENSIS at this year’s Flood Resilience Conference in Edinburgh, to discuss Scotland’s first flood resilience strategy. The event includes plenary presentations, breakout sessions, panel discussions and exhibitions. CENSIS will be exhibiting and speaking at the event.
About the conference
Scotland’s climate has already changed and will continue to do so. Increasing rainfall intensity, storm severity and rising sea levels mean it will not be possible to protect all communities from every flood that we experience. Scotland must become more resilient to flooding to help communities, organisations and places thrive in the changing climate. This will require a paradigm shift in how we deal with floods, building resilience at all scales from individual properties right up to catchment scale. It will require engagement of a broad range of delivery partners with communities at the heart of the process. And it will require more innovative and diverse flood management actions. A draft programme is available.
Who should attend?
Delegates from local councils, developers, government agencies, consultancies, NGOs, researchers, and communities are encouraged to attend.
