CENSIS is looking for nine new members of staff to join the team. All posts will be based in CENSIS’ offices in central Glasgow.
Project Managers x 2
Reporting to the Technical Director, the CENSIS Project Managers will manage multiple collaborative R&D projects between industry, academic partners and the CENSIS technical team. Each Project Manager will co-ordinate up to eight separate projects at any one time, featuring 3-8 partners, and with each project valued between £25K and >£250K. You will be responsible for pulling together the team to deliver the project, taking the commercial input, setting the direction, and managing the process to deliver the project outcomes.
Systems Engineer x 2 ( 1 x Hardware, 1 x Software)
The Systems Engineer /Architects are the technical focal point in a collaborative R&D project, ensuring activities are aligned and contribute effectively to project outcomes in a timely and cost efficient manner, while at the same time affording the team sufficient freedom to develop innovative solutions. The scale of the projects range from £25K to >£250K, with the Systems Engineer/Architect making technical contributions on up to five separate projects simultaneously.
Senior Engineers x 4
Four Senior Engineers will act as the technical focal point on collaborative R&D projects; addressing technical challenges, assuming responsibility for project quality, and delivering fit-for-purpose prototypes for further commercialisation. Working alongside the Systems Engineer/Architect, the Senior Engineers will manage up to two projects simultaneously. We are looking for engineers with experience in one of three complementary skillsets:
- Senior Engineer (Lower Stack) – Sensor Element & Transductance / Pre Processing
Electronics experience with a good understanding of the physical phenomena commonly used in sensor elements. - Senior Engineer (Middle Stack) – Communications and Data Storage
Experience across a variety of communication protocols, electronics, RTOS, firmware and software applications, and a good understanding of systems limitations of communications and data storage. - Senior Engineer (Top Stack) – Analysis, Post Processing, Visualisation and Presentation
Experience across a variety of data analysis and fusion techniques, deriving information from multi-modal data and/or distributed networks, interpreting and presenting complex datasets, visualisation and presentation of information.
Marketing Officer (Closing Date 11 April 2014)
Responsible for day-to-day marketing activities of the CENSIS project, the Marketing Officer will also assist with planning and managing CENSIS events and exhibition attendance. The main duties are to plan, develop and deliver online and print marketing material and promotional campaigns and activity for CENSIS, creating innovative ways to communicate CENSIS’ message to new and existing customers. You’ll also work with CENSIS’ external PR agency to ensure campaigns and ideas are executed, and will assume overall responsibility for website and social media planning and content.
