Integrative sensing and measurement
Sensing and measurement is perhaps the most fundamental scientific capability required and utilised by society. It impacts on all areas of life, from integrated atomic clocks for GPS location through the myriad of chemical and physical sensors found in science, industry, environmental monitoring, consumer goods, biomedicine, food, energy and transport.
Doctoral Training Centre
The EPSRC-funded Centre for Doctoral Training in Integrative Sensing and Measurement (CDT-ISM) combines the expertise of academic staff from the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow and provides a four-year PhD training regime tailored to develop the leaders of tomorrow in this exciting field.
First Annual Conference
Please join CDT-ISM staff and researchers at its first Annual Conference in Edinburgh on 12 November 2015. This programme includes presentations by researchers across the sensing and measurement community at the universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh along with poster presentations from the first cohort of CDT PhD students.
